In many cases of osteoarthritis, the cartilage and underlying bone within a shoulder joint becomes severely degenerated. When the underlying bone becomes affected (or in cases of traumatic injury to the joint), the shoulder becomes less suitable for treatment with stem cell shoulder repair.
